The Early Childhood Equity Collaborative was founded in 2018 because there was no systematic public support for culturally specific services in early learning at a time when our state’s population of 0-5 years olds is the most racially/ethnically diverse it has ever been. ECEC partners with fellow community-based organizations and philanthropy to build awareness to the need for these services, to mobilize advocacy for communities of color and immigrant and refugee communities, and to educate and create responsive policies and budget priorities.
